Monika Karpińska-Kołaczek

Research interests

My research interests are focused on use of non-pollen palynomorphs (NPPs) in palaeoecological studies conducted on peat and lacustrine sediments. My current project aims at finding new relationships between NPP taxa and environmental conditions during their depostion and is based on investigation of modern surface samples from different microhabitats in peatlands. Recently, I have started learning testate amoebae analysis within the frame of the interdisciplinary project regarding the history of Poland.
