Research interests


 

My research interests include biodiversity and ecology of microbial organisms in peatlands. I am interested in the response of micro-eukaryotes to environmental changes and their role in the ecosystem functioning. A strong focus of my research are testate amoebae, which are used for the reconstruction of past environmental conditions and play a key role in peatland functioning.
